What Are You Craving: Disney World’s Top Ten Frozen Treats

Happy Tuesday Darlings!

There’s nothing better than a Tuesday filled with treats.  In no particular order, I’ve compiled a list of my Disney World’s Top Ten Frozen Treats!

Pineapple Dole Whip at Aloha Isle (Disney’s Magic Kingdom)
IMG_3904For me, a Disney holiday isn’t complete without at least three Dole Whips a trip. This pineapple-flavored soft-serve is one of Disney’s most popular desserts and I can see why! It’s super refreshing after a long day of waiting in lines or just as a sweet treat for that special someone to let them know you care. Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a perfect pineapple swirl.

One Scoop Waffle Cone at L’Artisan des Glaces (Disney’s EPCOT)

You’d suppose Italy would be the pavilion for ice cream, but France is where it’s at! L’Artisan des Glaces offers classic French ice cream that’s both smooth and creamy. Opting out of a traditional flavor, I had the coco-white chocolate and it was rich and delectable. On top of that, the waffle cone was to die for. Super light and crispy, made with a pinch of fleur de sel French salt, it was the perfect touch to the end of the sweetness.

Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar at Ice Cream Carts (Various Walt Disney World Locations)
IMG_4196Made by Nestle, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars are filled with vanilla ice cream and covered in chocolate. This bar is available at any Ice Cream Cart as well as Hotel Quick Service and Gift Shops.

Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu Lounge (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
IMG_3981If you’re trecking your way to Pandora, the Night Blossom is a must try. This frozen drink is a mixture of limeade, apple, and dessert pear flavoring. The perfect blend of fruity and tart for a hot Florida day. My absolute favorite part of the frozen drink was the passion-fruit boba topping. It deliciously burst at the right moments adding an extra zing to every sip. It really is like a pongu pongu, or ‘party party’, for your taste buds.

Chocolate Milkshake at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)

Walking into the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, you’re greeted with classic cars, horror films, and comfort food. There’s no way you can pass up a milkshake with your lunch or dinner. I love everything chocolate, (And dipping my fries in it) so I opted for the Chocolate Milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Creamy, icy, topped with whip cream and a cherry I was brought back in time.

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (Disney’s Magic Kingdom)
IMG_3997I’d always seen people walking down Main Street with these giant ice cream cookie sandwiches and finally, I tried one for myself. It was the best cookie sandwich I had ever had. The cookies were warm, but not warm enough to melt the ice cream and make a mess. I’m a mint chocolate chip-aholic, so it was easy to choose a flavor. The mint was cool in the heat and the chips added just the right amount of crunch. If you are a mint fan, I highly suggest this flavor. If not, I’m sure the others are just as good. The parlor does get packed in the summer, but I promise it’s worth the wait.

Frozen Raspberry Lemonade at Big Top Souvenirs (Disney’s Magic Kingdom)

If you’re looking for a quick drink to beat the heat, a Frozen Raspberry Lemonade is just what you’re looking for. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and tart without feeling like you’re in a sugar coma. This drink can also be found at Cheshire Café.

Fiesta Frozen Margarita at Mexico at Choza de Mexico (Disney’s EPCOT)
IMG_2472When in Mexico, you have to have a margarita. I’m all for something fruity, but the Fiesta is the best of all three flavors. Mango on the bottom, Wild strawberry in the middle, topped with classic lime, it’s the right amount of sweet and the right amount of tequila.

This classic Nestle treat is made of cookies ‘n cream ice cream between two chocolate wafers that don’t turn into a gooey mess. Start at the ears, and leave Mickey’s infectious smile for last. This sweet treat is available also at any Ice Cream Cart as well as Hotel Quick Service and Gift Shops.

Pineapple Dole Whip with Coconut Rum at Tamu Tamu Refreshments (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)

Just when you thought Pineapple Dole Whips couldn’t get better, they added Rum! A dream come true for us lovers over twenty-one. The coconut rum is the best choice, trust me on this one.

What’s on your top ten list?  Let me know in the comments!

XO, S
